But only just now did it really click that the weekly user count keeps growing. Not significant, but I can definitely see a slight increase week by week. Only until recently, I updated the plugin to include a banner directing users to visit logoipsum.com to get the latest placeholder logos, and noticed right away the usage from the stats slightly decreased.",[10,46,47,48,53],{},"I’ve been insisting on pushing users to visit ",[14,49,52],{"href":50,"rel":51},"https://logoipsum.com",[18],"logoipsum.com"," because I need that traffic. But at the same time, at least for some Figma users, seems to prefer using the plugin instead of visiting the website. Especially if they first found Logoipsum via the plugin, not via the website.",[10,55,56],{},"From a Figma user’s standpoint, the plugin definitely simplifies their workflow. But on my side, I lose all that potential traffic to the website. To convince people, and also to convince myself, I even tweeted a while back saying that copy-pasting SVG logo from logoipsum.com to Figma is just as simple, as fast, and as frictionless as using the plugin. But seeing the usage number keeps growing, I guess I was wrong, and some people definitely prefer to use the plugin.",[10,58,59,60],{},"Then recently, I asked myself: ",[61,62,63],"strong",{},"should I bring the plugin back and continue updating the plugin?",[10,65,66],{},"To really answer that, I decided to take a step back and go back to the drawing board. Tying back to the first point, if the plugin offers the same thing as the website with no additional value, why would anyone pay? Either the plugin and the website serve completely separate purposes, or they support each other, but it’s clear that the plugin should do things the website can’t.",[10,97,98],{},"With that in mind, I think I’ll move forward and continue developing the plugin. I already have some initial ideas to kick this off. Starts with one or two features and maybe gradually added new things later. Also, I’m planning to roll out these “premium” features for free, for a limited time, so users can try them before the paywall kicks in.
